Not every role in agriculture happens in the paddock.

  • Work from your own dedicated home office | Monday to Friday | 20 hours per week.
  • Use your agricultural knowledge and administration skills to support rural employers Australia-wide.
  • Company phone, laptop and full training provided within a supportive, close-knit team.

AUSAG Rural is seeking a motivated and organised Rural Recruitment Consultant to join our close-knit team on a casual basis, working Monday to Friday for approximately 20 hours per week. Working remotely from your home office, you'll play an important role in supporting Australian farmers and graziers by managing candidate applications from start to finish and delivering quality shortlists for a wide range of agricultural positions. A company phone and laptop will be provided.

About Us:

Reporting to the Recruitment Supervisor & Director, you'll be trusted to manage candidate applications with professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail while representing the values and reputation of our business.

The Role:

This is a fast-paced administrative position that requires excellent organisation, strong written communication and the ability to manage multiple vacancies simultaneously. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing candidate applications from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Reviewing and understanding the requirements of agricultural vacancies.
  • Conducting professional telephone interviews with applicants.
  • Liaising confidently with candidates, clients and referees via phone and email.
  • Preparing well-written candidate profiles and supporting documentation.
  • Maintaining accurate records within our CRM system.
  • Delivering quality shortlisted candidates within expected timeframes.
  • Maintaining a reliable internet and telephone connection throughout working hours.

About You:

To succeed in this role, you'll be someone who enjoys working independently, communicates confidently and thrives in a busy administrative environment. Ideally you will have:

  • A genuine background in Australian agriculture and a sound understanding of      farming and grazing operations.
  • Previous experience in recruitment, administration or a similar office-based role.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
  • Fast and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Excellent written English with the ability to prepare clear, professional candidate profiles.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly      learn new software and CRM systems.
  • A professional and personable manner when dealing with clients and candidates.
  • The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a small      remote team.
  • A commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality at all times.

Essential Requirements:

  • Be able to travel to our Pittsworth satellite office for training and occasional meetings when required.
  • Have a dedicated, quiet home office free from interruptions during work hours.
  • Be available to work each day, Monday to Friday for approximately 20 hours      per week.

If you're looking for a flexible work-from-home role where your agricultural knowledge and administrative skills can make a genuine difference to rural businesses across Australia, we'd love to hear from you.
